WAYPOINT will wrap up Summer series on July 28. On August 4, we will invite all new 6th grade students to the WAYPOINT. There will be a special evening of an ALL YOUTH WAYPOINT. There will be a free meal, games and activities, worship, and a special message brought to you by our very own Jake Durham (you may know him as Donnie, Danny, Demetrius, Darryl, Dallas, or Decepticon). The following weeks will feature a return to our split Bible Study. The Middle School will begin to take a look at “What You Need to Know.” This will take an in-depth look at what it means to be a Christian and what are the things Christians should know. At the same time, the High School student will take a walk through many of the Psalms. It has been said that the entire range of human emotion can be found in the Psalms.

Middle School

Middle School Ministry is geared to aid families with students in 6th through 8th grade.

We strive to help students catch a vision of Christ as king and their place in His work. We also work to equip parents to navigate the many changes in their students and families as they enter a larger world. Some of the ways we go about that are:

The Waypoint

On Wednesday evenings, Middle School and High School Students meet at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We call it "The Waypoint" because this is a time for the students to pause on their journey to reach deep into God's Word and find the truth contained within it. Together we have a few activities and worship together through song, scripture, and prayer. Following the corporate time together, the High School Students and Middle School students move to age-appropriate Bible Study.

Sunday School

Sunday School meets at 9:45 on Sunday Mornings.

Retreats

One of the best ways to grow in Christ is to strengthen friendships and give students an opportunity to experience life together. So, we offer fun fellowship events throughout the year. We offer outreach and service projects through our Sunday School classes because we feel it is essential for students to have an outlet to serve those around them for the glory of Christ.

Each year we host several retreats: 6th Grade Orientation and Fall Retreat. These weekends away from the normal grind help students to experience the truth of God's Word in new and exciting ways.

Summer Trips

Each summer we have two major trips: camp and a mission trip. Our Middle School students have served as close as Asheville, NC and as far away as Portland, OR. Summer camp is great for helping students look more like Jesus, and mission trips are a great opportunity for them to share Him with others.

High School

High School Ministry is geared to aid families with students in 9th through 12th grade.

The Waypoint

On Wednesday evenings Middle School and High School Students meet at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We call it “The Waypoint” because this is a time for the students to stop along their journey and equip themselves to continue walking with Christ by reaching deep into God's Word and find the truth contained within it. Then we encourage them to take this truth and use it every day.

Together we have a few activities and worship together through song, scripture, and prayer. Following the corporate time together, the High School Students and Middle School students move to age-appropriate Bible Study.

Each summer we have two major trips: camp and mission trips. Our High School students are involved in a number of mission trips including local, domestic, and international trips.
