Make plans to join us as Andy Lackey will continue our study in Mark:
Most of us enjoy the experience of a family vacation. Whether we go to the beach, the mountains, to Disneyworld, or perhaps another country, we love the thrill of getting away and spending time with our family. But eventually, we must return home, return to reality, back to the challenges of the real world.
We will see this be the case for Jesus, Peter, James, and John as they come down from the mountaintop experience where Jesus was gloriously transfigured, back to the reality of a world marked by sin, faithlessness, and evil. Jesus returns to find a father in desperate need of the healing of his son, a son who was possessed by an evil spirit. In the father’s cry of “I believe, help my unbelief,” we learn in vivid detail a lesson about our need for faith, our need for prayer, and our need for Jesus.
