Middle School Ministry is geared to aid families with students in 6th through 8th grade. We strive to help students catch a vision of Christ as king and their place in His work. On Wednesday evenings, Middle School and High School Students meet at 6:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. We call it "The Waypoint" because this is a time for the students to pause on their journey to reach deep into God's Word and find the truth contained within it. Together we have a few activities and worship together through song, scripture, and prayer. Following the corporate time together, the High School Students move to the Annex (142) and Middle School students stay in the Multi-Purpose Room for a focused, age-appropriate Bible Study.
Sunday School Meets at 9:45 on Sunday Mornings. For more information about Sunday School classes for Middle School Students, click here.
One of the best ways to grow in Christ is to strengthen friendships and give students an opportunity to experience life together. So, we offer fun fellowship events throughout the year. We offer outreach and service projects through our Sunday School classes because we feel it is essential for students to have an outlet to serve those around them for the glory of Christ.
Each year we host several retreats: 6th Grade Orientation and Fall Retreat. These weekends away from the normal grind help students to experience the truth of God's Word in new and exciting ways.
Each summer we have two major trips: camp and a mission trip. Our Middle School students have served as close as Asheville, NC and as far away as Portland, OR. Summer camp is great for helping students look more like Jesus, and mission trips are a great opportunity for them to share Him with others.
