The Big Picture of the New Testament

Room 151
Teacher: Andy Lackey

The New Testament is a collection of twenty-seven books, written by various authors, with each book having its own theological emphasis and nuances.  However, is there a relationship between the various New Testament books?  If so, then how do elicit a coherent message from such a diversity of books and authors?  That is what will be the goal of this course, to understand the basic theological message of the New Testament both in its diversity of expression and in its fundamental unity. To accomplish this goal, we will examine the major theological themes of the Gospels, The Letters of Paul, and The General Epistles. We will study how these theological themes bind the entire New Testament together as a conceptually unified book..
