Sense and Nonsense

Room 155
Teacher: Chuck Edwards

Have you ever heard or read something that didn’t sound correct but you weren’t quite sure what it was? If so, then this class may assist you in discerning sense from nonsense. We’ll be covering issues like these: Do you know how to respond to someone who says, “Oh, that’s just your truth but it’s not true for me”? Can you explain to your children what’s wrong with the way “evolution” is taught in school? (No, it’s not that it contradicts the Bible… it’s something much more subtle.) Is there a war between “science” and “religion”? (Hint: there is a battle going on but it’s not over religion.) What’s the real issue when it comes to same-sex marriage? Do your children understand “deconstruction”? If not, don’t let them set foot in a college Literature class (or maybe even high school English)! When is tolerance intolerant… and why was Chick-fil-A kicked off a local college campus? Sound interesting? Gain new insights with us in this discussion-oriented class geared for all ages!
