Respectable Sins

Room 156
Teacher: Andy Lackey

We all know what sin is. We recognize sin all around us. However, have Christians become so preoccupied with the major sins of our society that we have lost sight of our need to deal with the more subtle sins in our own lives? There appear to be a number of specific “acceptable” sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves – such as jealousy, anger, pride, irritability, and judgmentalism. In a book by Jerry Bridges, we will discuss these issues from the trenches of our own battles with these sins and others and discover a message of hope and grace in the profound mercy of the gospel and the transforming grace of God as the means to overcome even our most subtle and cherished of sins.
