Evangelism is one of the scariest words in Christendom. Yet before Jesus ascended into heaven he gave his disciples a command to “go into all world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation” (Mark 16:15). God, as a part of his sovereign plan, has made us his “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Cor 5:20) and charged us with the responsibility of spreading the gospel. Out of his great love, He has sent us his Holy Spirit to embolden us for this work. In this course we will learn what our part is in God’s plan of salvation, how we can effectively communicate the gospel with unbelievers, different methods of sharing the gospel utilizing situational evangelism, and how we can become living examples of the gospel. We will look to the examples of Jesus, Paul, and the disciples for ways that we can engage unbelievers and win them to Christ. More importantly we will learn how we can learn to live missionally amongst a lost and dying generation in order to intentionally engage them with the gospel and implore them to be reconciled to Christ.
