Coronavirus Survival Guide

Growth in the Time of Corona

Ways to Grow

Read the Word daily:

  • Start reading a Gospel. Write down questions. Make Observations. You can start a Bible Reading plan on YouVersion.
  • Memorize Scripture! You can join the Bible Memory Group on Facebook. It will start April 6th.  Or, if you want to explore some options on your own, Topical Memory System is a great place to get started.
  • Bible Memory Group - Andy Lackey is hosting a Bible Memory Group to memorize the whole book of Philippians. What a monumental task, but I think you can do it. Follow along here on facebook and videos on YouTube

Talk to God daily:

Western Avenue at Home Livestream weekly:

Equipping University Online weekly:

  • Each week there will be a short message for you. It will be livestreamed at 6:30pm on Wednesday nights. You can find it on Facebook (www.facebook.com/wabcstv).

Ways to Serve

Be a digital missionary:

  • Ask friends on social media how you can pray for them.
  • Share what God has been teaching you online.
  • Host a "watch party" with Sunday and Wednesday Livestreams on Facebook
  • Host a Google Hangout or Zoom meeting with friends from school:
    • Why? Connect with them and see how they're doing.
    • How is this missional? At the end, ask your friends if you can pray for them and if there is any way you can serve them.
  • Share a daily word of encouragement on your social media accounts. You can tag us @westernavenueyouth if you want.

Be a physical missionary (God has placed you in a neighborhood for a reason!):

  • Go on a walk in your neighborhood. Pray for families as you walk by their house.

Pray for missionaries and church planters

  • Pray for our Missionaries (contact Mark for a list)
  • Pray for the Boyds and Sojourn Church in Portland (Matt, Andrea, Elliot, Liam, and Oliver)
