Meet Our Members

Over the next few weeks, we will be doing a series of posts to introduce a few of our members. We will feature some of our newest members and also some of our members who have been at WABC for many years. We will interview several families from each decade over the past 70 years just to learn about them and of WABC's impact on their lives.

The first couple we'd like to introduce to you is Bill and Linda Choate. They joined WABC in February 2018. After moving to Mooresville, the Chaotes started searching for a local Baptist church. They heard of WABC and began listening to sermons online. After liking what they heard, they decided to visit and said they immediately felt at home.

They decided to attend WABC because it is a great teaching church, has many great ministries going and the people are friendy and welcoming. They also appreciate the worship through music each Sunday.

Linda became a Christian at the age of 31 after attending a Bible study in Colorado Springs, where they were living at the time. She realized she did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as some of the other women did in the Bible study. Alone in her kitchen, Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Bill received Christ earlier in life when he attended a Billy Graham Crusade in Camp Lejeune. He rededicated his life shortly after Linda received Christ.

The Choates have been married for 55 years and have one son, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bill and Linda are excited to see the church grow from week to week. They are looking forward to being a part of the ministries at WABC.

We are so glad to have you at WABC, Bill and Linda, as some of our newest members, and we look forward to getting to know you better as we work alongside you to accomplish God's work!
