Meet our Members: Tim and Debbie Burgiss

We continue our series this week to get to know another couple at WABC, Tim and Debbie Burgiss. They started attending in February 2018 and joined June 10, 2018, after attending the New Member Class. Prior to attending, they watched many previous sermons online. Tim and Debbie are both from the mountains (West Jefferson and Sparta, respectively) and met in Statesville after college. Meet our Members: The Rosemans

Meet Our Members: The Rosemans Dan and Stephanie Roseman joined WABC in August 2017. They have been married for almost 14 years and have three children. Dan has been teaching for 10 years and was a campus pastor for 3 years. Stephanie has been a stay-at-home mom for 12 years, working part-time all along.  Stephanie became a Christian when she was eight years old. Meet Our Members: John and Melissa Friend

Western Avenue has a long and glorious history. The church was formed when revival came to Statesville in the early 1890s. People walked from South Statesville to the ongoing meetings, and people saw the need for a church plant. A local church purchased some land on the corner of Western Avenue and Boulevard for the grand sum of $25. The Southside Chapel was built at a cost of $675 and was completed in April 1894.
