Since our current sermon series is about Martin Luther and The Five Solas, we thought it would be fitting to watch the movie Luther together to conclude the series. The movie is a biography of Martin Luther beginning with his vow to become a monk and continuing throughout his life. Celebrate the 500 th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation with the viewing of this movie, Sunday, October 29, at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The Five Solas

During the five Sundays in October, we are studying The Five Solas. This week, we looked at Sola Fide (faith alone). The time prior to the Protestant Reformation was referred to as the dark ages. The light of the Gospel was shielded. Martin Luther sought to reveal the light of the Gospel and wrestled with certain questions like, "How can we stand before a just and holy God?" During the month of October, our five-part Sunday sermon series will focus on each of The Five Solas: Sola Scriptura (scripture alone), Sola Fide (faith alone), Sola Gratia (grace alone), Solus Christus (Christ alone), Soli Deo Gloria (to the glory of God alone).
