Advent means coming. Christ has come and is coming again. Advent is a season when we focus our hearts and minds on his coming. As we anticipate celebrating his coming as a baby at Christmas, we also anticipate his coming again in glory.

During the four weeks leading up to Christmas, we will preach through scriptures of the Christmas story while using familiar Christmas Carols to help us focus on the story of the birth of Jesus.

Advent Guides

- Advent Family Readings

- Advent Family Activities

Each week there are two devotional readings for you and your family. They will serve to focus your heart and thoughts on the coming of Christ – his coming as a baby in Bethlehem and his coming again in glory. Each reading is followed by a prompt for prayer. Every week there is one Christmas Carol for you and your family to sing. We will be discussing the scriptural truth found within these songs on Sundays and we will sing them as a congregation. Do not worry if you are not comfortable leading a song for your family. If you would like to follow along with someone else singing, use the videos below. You will find resources for songs as well as activities for families with younger children.

We encourage you to read these with your family as a part of your family worship time, or you could gather with a group of friends to pray together and focus on what Christmas truly means – celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
