Directions to Western Avenue Baptist Church

Statesville is conveniently located at the intersections of Interstate 77 and Insterstate 40. Western Avenue is less than two miles from that intersection and can be accessed a variety of ways. Refer to the map below for a birds-eye view of the area. You can read more specific directions below the map.

FROM THE WEST
Take I-40 exit 150. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left and go back under the interstate. After you cross under the bridge, turn right onto Millsaps Road (between the two gas stations). At the end of Millsaps Road, turn right onto Museum Road. Western Avenue will be about a half-mile on Museum Road on your left.

FROM THE EAST
Take I-40 Exit 151. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight across Highway 21 as if you are going to get back on I-40. As you near the top of the entrance ramp, you can turn to your right onto the service road (Gaither Road). Turn left onto Gaither Road and you will pass two car dealerships. Western Avenue is just ahead at the top of the hill at the flashing stop light (this direction must yield).

FROM THE SOUTH (local roads)
Take US Highway 21 north through downtown Statesville, following the signs as you go. When you cross under the I-40 overpass, turn left at the stoplight as if you are getting on I-40 West. As you near the top of the entrance ramp, you can turn to your right onto the service road (Gaither Road). Turn left onto Gaither Road and you will pass two car dealerships. Western Avenue is just ahead at the top of the hill at the flashing stop light (this direction must yield).

FROM THE SOUTH (interstate)
Take I-77 North toward Virginia to Exit 51. Merge onto I-40 West. Take I-40 Exit 151. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight across Hwy 21 like you are going to get back on I-40. As you near the top of the entrance ramp, you can turn to your right onto the service road (Gaither Road). Turn left onto Gaither Road and you will pass two car dealerships. Western Avenue is just ahead at the top of the hill at the flashing stop light (this direction must yield).

FROM THE NORTH (local roads)
Take NC Hwy 115 south towards the I-40 interchange. Take a left onto Millsaps Road (between two gas stations). At the end of Millsaps Road, turn right onto Museum Road. Western Avenue will be about a half-mile up Museum Road on your left.

FROM THE NORTH (interstate)
Take I-77 South toward Charlotte to Exit 51. Merge onto I-40 West. Take I-40 Exit 151. At the bottom of the ramp, go straight across Hwy 21 like you are going to get back on I-40.
