Children
At Western Avenue Baptist Church, we love all children and want to introduce them to the One who loves them even more - Jesus Christ. It is our desire to assist parents in growing children into Christian adults who have a deep and meaningful relationship with the Lord and equip children with the tools necessary to help them grow spiritually. Our goal is to help you teach your children to learn life-shaping Biblical principles. We aspire to teach them the importance of hiding God's word in their hearts and the blessings that come from knowing Him. Our purposeful Bible teaching and fun fellowship opportunities offer children a beginning to a firm foundation in Jesus while having a ton of fun along the way!

The Rock
Hey, Kids!
Do you love to rock out to Godly worship music? Do you love funny skits and cool videos? Do you want to be able to worship in a way that a kid your age can relate? Then we want you to meet us at THE ROCK! The Rock is a celebration time just for kids! We meet every Sunday evening in the Multi-Purpose room of Western Avenue Baptist Church. Each celebration will begin at 6:00 pm for students who are in the 1st-5th grade. Your celebration time will consist of awesome music videos for group worship, funny skits or activities, small group discussions, and a worship lesson that goes right along with what you learned that morning in Sunday School! The Rock is NOT just for Western Avenue kids. It's for ALL kids! It's a great way for you to invite your friends and introduce them to church in a new way. Each new student will recieve a welcome gift upon their first visit and the student who brings them will also recieve a small gift. This is an outreach opportunity for all of us, so tell your friends, tell your parents, tell everyone you know to...MEET YOU AT THE ROCK! See ya there!
Wednesday Evenings
Our Wednesday night activities keep children wanting to come back to church! First through fifth graders get to choose between TeamKIDs and Children's Choir during the school-year and have the unique experience of Camp Sonscreen during the summer months. Just wait until your children are begging you to come on Wednesday nights!
TeamKIDs
What do you get when you add active Bible lessons, dramas, games, and snacks? You get ...TeamKIDs! Your child is sure to enjoy this upbeat, energetic hour of Bible teaching! The Bible will come to life through dramatic plays and games that are sure to keep them coming back for more!
Equipping to Praise Children's Choir
Children's choir...it's not just singing anymore! Expression through music is a fun and hands-on approach to Bible teaching. Our children's choirs meet through the school year and incorporate music, movement, and drama. Other Fun
Summer
Summer is a great time to be a kid! We offer activities during the months of June, July, and August to allow the students an opportunity to be a part of a Christian group throughout the summertime. We have a variety of activities such as VBS, 4th and 5th Grade Camp, Water Wars, Craft Day, Day at the Pool, and Fun Station to give them a chance to grow and have fun together.
Fall Festival
In the fall we hold our largest family outreach, our Fall Festival. This festival is a free event for our community in which families can come to a safe, fun-filled, Christ-centered alternative to Halloween.
