About Us
		Western Avenue Western Avenue Baptist Church is a conservative evangelical church associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. For over one hundred years, this body of believers has faithfully served the Lord by being a positive influence on the community of Statesville, NC. At Western Avenue, we place our focus on three primary activities: worship, equipping believers and missions. Worship

We are created to worship. When we fail to do this, we are not fulfilling our purpose on this earth. We take very seriously our mandate to give unto God all the honor and praise that He alone is worthy to receive. Come and worship with us.

Education

The Bible tells us to pay close attention to our doctrine (I Tim 4:16) and for pastors and teachers to work at equipping the saints until we attain unity in faith and knowledge of the Son. Believing this, we take every opportunity to teach the Bible. Come and learn with us.

Missions

The Bible tells us to go to all the nations to make disciples of all men. At Western Avenue, over 200 people each year step foot on foreighn soil to be used of God to build His kingdom. We also minister to the people in our surrounding community. Come and work with us.
